Bergen Catholic’s Star Receiver: Christian Carti

Christian Carti is a 2023 recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Bergen Catholic High School. Carti is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Wide Receivers in the nation as well. In addition, Carti is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of New Jersey and is listed among one of the top Wide Receivers in the state of New Jersey. He currently holds offers from Princeton and Columbia.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up, Adrian Peterson inspired me.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I have the same playlist that I listen to before every game, mostly rap and some EDM.

What is your offseason training like?

Training right now is 4 days a week, lifting at 6am every morning with the team. Then after school I workout with my teammate Jack Comeau and with our personal trainer, working on speed and explosive training.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory of my career so far has to be winning the state championship this year. It’s been my life goal since I could remember being at Bergen so doing it this year was a dream come true. Another one would be when my brother Santino Correa committed to Delaware for football. Just seeing all his hard work finally paying off was one of the most happy moments for me ever.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

There’s been so many great players I’ve played with in my career so far so I really can’t pick one but a couple would be Jordan Morant, Tywone Malone, DJ Samuels, Steve Angeli, Sydir Mitchell, and Ryan Butler.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

My reaction was just a relief. It was one of the greatest feelings ever knowing that all my hard work has finally payed off, and for my first one to be Princeton was also really cool.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food would probably be ahi tuna or salad. A lot of people give me hate for the salad pick but I honestly could eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I never really realized how talented I was until 6th grade when I noticed how much more football knowledge I had then everyone else, like where the soft spots would be at and what coverages the defenses were in. Also I saw how much harder I worked than the people around me, and how much I really love the game more than anyone.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet one sports hero it’d either be Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan because I have that same kill or be killed mindset like them. Also their hard work made the people around them want to work so much harder which made the whole team better as a whole.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan would probably be watching my wrestling brothers win the state championship vs Delbarton. One of my best friends AJ Fricchione winning the last match of the whole thing tying the score up and making it come down to criteria J which was near fall points and we won. Another one would be seeing the 2017 football team win the first state championship.
