Texas Tech’s Next Star Offensive Tackle: Kaden Carr
Kaden Carr is a 3 Star recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Canadian High School. Carr is ranked among the top 550 recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 50 Offensive Tackle in the nation as well. In addition, Carr is listed as a Top 90 recruit in the state of Texas and is listed as a top 10 Offensive Tackle in the state of Texas. Kaden Carr is committed to play at Texas Tech next fall.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I was inspired most by my family growing up. I was in a good environment and was competing and looking up to my family.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
i’m more of a guy who locks in before a game, thinking and picturing everything on what’s about to go down.
What is your offseason training like?
my offseason is me just getting better. i’m a guy who wants to be more athletic than everyone else on the line, I live by that. Speed, agility, and compound lifts are my go too. Also eating and cleaning up my diet more than ever.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Man I have a bunch of favorite memories, i love celebrating with my team after a hard fought win. Going to Whataburger knowing you just put everything you had into it and celebrating with the guys you did it with.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Best players I’ve ever played with are these past seniors I’ve played with (Erik Gray , Saul Velasquez, and Isaac Escobar ). We pushed each other everyday and made each other better, those are guys I have built friendships with that I’ll have forever.
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
All I can say is it was a huge blessing. It was also an eye opener and I knew I had to work harder than ever to get ready to compete at the next level.
What is your favorite food?
My go to food is either a steak burrito or steak and rice.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I’m never satisfied. There’s always room to improve and get better. I understand i’m a pretty good player but I don’t settle, I look for ways to go past my potential.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If i could meet a sports hero it’d probably be JJ Watt, I’ve got brothers like he does and i’d just connect with him on his background about that.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite moment as a fan would just be going to Texas Tech games at a young age, watching my brother play and realizing that dreams can come true.
