Pittsburg High’s Star Receiver: Zack Card
Zack Card is a 3 Star recruit who plays Wide Receiver at Pittsburg High School. Card is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a Top 100 Wide Receiver in the nation as well. In addition, Card is listed among one of the Top 150 recruit in the state of California and is listed as a Top 25 Wide Receiver in the state of California. He currently holds offers from, Utah State, Nevada, and UMASS.
Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
I was inspired De’Anthony Thomas because of his speed, and how he could do anything on the field. It made me want to play the game like how he did.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to a lot of hip hop and rap, like Meek Mill and some Bay Area rappers.
What is your offseason training like?
Offseason training is lift, then field work, and another lift and track
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is winning Pittsburg its first NCS title in 31 years.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Best player I would probably say Rashid Williams
What was your reaction to getting your first offer?
Getting my first offer I was the most excited I have ever been. I went to tell my parents and it was a dream come true, something that I have been working to get for a long time.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite food would be a nice Steak.
When did you realize you were talented at football?
I realized I was good at football when it was my second year playing and I was doing it all, and being the best player on the field.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would meet Muhammad Ali
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
As a fan I would say when the Raiders beat the Chiefs
