Adelanto’s Star Running Back: Mar’Kai Shaw

Mar’Kai Shaw is a 3 Star recruit who plays Running Back at Adelanto High School. Shaw is ranked among one of the Top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a Top 70 Running Back in the nation as well. In addition, Shaw is listed among one of the Top 150 recruits in the state of California and is listed as a Top 10 Running Back in the state of California. His top offers are, Nevada, Colorado State, and Louisiana Monroe.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

 I was inspired by Marshawn Lynch, Adrian Peterson, Desean Jackson, and Mike Vick.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to Pooh Shiesty, Lil Baby, NBA Youngboy, and a couple others.

What is your offseason training like?

I have been lifting harder then ever, working on my speed and acceleration mostly

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is from youth football, we lost twice in a row to a team, then beat them In the championship game.

What was your reaction to getting your first offer?

Getting my first offer wasn’t surprising but exciting , that is when I knew I could make it to the next level.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food hands down is Chicken Alfredo.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

My first year of football I scored 32 touchdowns in 12 games, that’s how I knew I was talented.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

if I could meet one sports hero, it would have to be Jalen Ramsey.
