LSU’s Latest Addition To Their 2023 Recruiting Class: Ryan Yaites

Ryan Yaites is a 4 Star recruit who plays Safety at Denton Guyer High School. Yaites is ranked as the 128th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a Top 10 Safety in the nation as well. In addition, Yaites is listed as a Top 25 recruit in the state of Texas and is listed as the #3 Safety in the state of Texas. Ryan Yaites is committed to play at LSU next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

My inspiration or favorite NFL players were, Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson.

What school is your biggest rival?

Schools that are our biggest rivals are, Denton Ryan, Prosper, and Allen.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Songs that hype me up pregame are “HYFR” by Drake and “I came thru” by NBA Youngboy.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason training is school workouts Monday-Thursday (9-12), then on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have skills training with Flight Skills.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

4th round of playoffs last year against Abline, my first ever varsity pick

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Played with, Peyton and Eli Brown. Played against is Peyton Bowen in 1 on 1’s.

What is your favorite food?

Favorite food is a tie between Cajun food and Chicken.

When did you realize you were talented at football?

I always knew I was good but I didn’t realize how special I really was until I went to my first 7v7 tournament, and after Coach O said I played well and said he got me an offer. Then I got USC.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Definitely Tom Brady so I can ask to see all his rings

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

When DeAndre Hopkins caught the Hail Mary ball over three people in the Bills vs Arizona Cardinals game to win it
