Jahlil Bethea is a 3 Star recruit who plays Point Guard at The Patrick School. Bethea is ranked as the 110th best recruit in the nation and is ranked as a Top 20 Point Guard in the nation as well. In addition, Bethea is listed as a Top 10 recruit in the state of New Jersey and is listed as the #2 Point Guard in New Jersey. His top offers are, TCU, DePaul, and Nebraska.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

One player that I would definitely say inspired me is Chris Paul. Just his leadership and the ability to make others around him better is the reason he’s one of my favorite players today.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Any song with G Herbo definitely puts me in game mode for sure.

What is your offseason training like?

Off season training consists of a lot of lifting, just getting my body bigger and trying to increase my vertical, get even more explosive.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

One of my favorite memories from my career is definitely this past EYBL season, just going out there and showing everything that I’ve been working on, and seeing it all work out there on the court was great. Me being one of the leading scorers in the whole EYBL really showed people what I can do and what I will continue to do moving forward.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Freshman year I played against Evan Mobley in Arizona, definitely one of the best players I’ve ever played against.  Just him being seven foot and moving like a guard was crazy and fun to play against.

What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is definitely Steak.

When did you realize you were talented at basketball?

I’ve been playing basketball since I was three years old. My dad always had a basketball in my hand wherever I went, just so I could dribble and just get the feel of it. Basketball has always been something I gravitated towards and my dad did his very best to keep me locked in the gym and just work on my craft in order to get it to where it is now, and we’re still not satisfied, I’m always looking for different ways to get better and get an edge.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

One person in sports that I would love to meet is definitely Kyrie Irving.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite moment in sports was when LeBron James came back from being down 1-3 in the NBA Finals.
