Archbishop Carroll’s Star Freshman Point Guard: Jake West

Jake West is a 2025 recruit who plays Point Guard at Archbishop John Carroll High School. West is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2025 and is ranked among one of the top Point Guards in the class as well. In addition, West is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Pennsylvania and is listed among one of the top Point Guards in the state of Pennsylvania. He currently holds an offer from St. Francis Brooklyn.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

I would say probably Allen Iverson because he was a small guard like me and he could do everything.

What school is your biggest rival?

I would say O’Hara

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Pregame I listen to Uzi, Lil Baby, Kur, Yxng Ka, sometimes NBA Young Boy, depending on how I’m feeling.

What is your offseason training like?

I usally try to get shots up at the gym near me everyday, and then usually 3 times a week I go to the weight room with my trainer.

What is your favorite memory of your career?

My favorite memory is when I hit a half court shot to win a game because it was on mother’s day.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

I would probably say Justin Edwards, that’s my guy and he is tough

What is your favorite food?

Steak and Mash Potatoes

When did you realize you were talented at basketball?

I really started getting confident my 7th grade year and from there I haven’t looked back

Kobe

Seeing Villanova win the National Championship, and watching the parade
