Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?
Growing up, I enjoyed Kicking and I looked up to NFL guys for technique. I studied their film a lot before I had any coaching to become a better kicker. I studied Justin Tucker mainly.
What high school is your biggest rival?
My biggest rival is anyone in the Catholic League really. De Las Salle, Brother Rice, and Catholic Central are all big games and filled with rivalry tradition themselves.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I have a selection of songs to get me hyped up but it kinda changes from week to week because I play that song during kicks. So whatever one helps me kick the best is the one I listen to.
What is your offseason training like?
My offseason training is pretty thorough. In January-March or whenever it gets nice outside I take a break from kicking and focus solely on rebuilding the strength I lost during the season. But when spring and summer hit I lift 3 days a week and kick 3 days with one day of rest. I mainly focus on a lot on explosive hips, obliques, stabilization, and building up each side separately.
What is your favorite memory of your high school career?
My favorite memory of high school was upsetting Catholic Central, the #3 team in the state at the time, on senior night with a game winning field goal.
What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?
I hope to take my experience in terrible game and weather conditions to the next level because those are the moments in a game when the team needs you to perform your best.
What made Michigan stand out from other schools?
Michigan is the best University in the world. Michigan has everything I could ever want. It is close to home, an elite university, has the best dental school in the country, is a powerhouse football program, great coaches and support staff for not only football players but specifically specialists.
What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Michigan?
I am working toward being a 4X All Big 10 Specialist, Academic and Athletic All American, Ray Guy award winner, and Lou Groza award winner. I am trying to maximize every opportunity to be the best student athlete for my team.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Pat MCafee not only because he is hilarious but he also had a swagger, confidence, and experience being a kickoff specialist and punter in the NFL that I wish to learn from.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Any game winning field goal is my favorite sports moment in sports because I know what goes into that moment and the feeling of making that big time kick.
