What high school is your biggest rival?
As of right now, I would say our biggest rival at Phillips Exeter Academy is Phillips Andover Academy. When I was at Harvard-Westlake, our school rival was Loyola High School. Personally though, I always saw Corona Centennial as my rival and loved to play against them.
What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I would say that I listen to a lot of high energy rap with fast pace to get me excited and hyped for the game, but I also have a couple of my favorite slower-paced r&b songs to keep me calm and not get too excited and waste energy. The last song I always listen to before playing is Faneto by Chief Keef and then I am ready to go.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career, besides getting my offer to play at Cornell, would have to be stepping on the court with my younger brother for the first time on the high school stage last year. We had not played on the same time in any form of organized ball since peewee league when I was 7 years old and he was 5 years old.

What made Cornell stand out from other schools?
I appreciate and will enjoy Cornell’s basketball program to the fullest extent next year. The coaches, current players, incoming recruits and other staff are all people that I would love to have around me and that is definitely the environment I want to be in. The education I can also get from Cornell is another reason. They say “knowledge is power” and I couldn’t agree more. Attending school at Cornell would allow me take huge strides towards becoming an orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine which I aspire to be one day.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Alive, I would definitely say LeBron James because I am a huge fan and would love to meet him and talk to him. But, with no restrictions, I would say Kobe Bryant because he was simply amazing. The things he could do on the court as well as the basketball IQ behind it all are truly inspiring.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment would probably be Lebron’s poster on Jason Terry. Dwayne Wade’s steal and quick pass to Chalmers to Cole who lobs it back to Lebron for the finish. Instant classic for me. I loved that moment so much! Whenever I see it, it is like I am seeing it for the first time again.
