One Of The Newest Badgers On Campus: Chris Hodges

Chris Hodges was a 3 Star recruit who played at Schamburg High School. Hodges was ranked as a Top 160 recruit in the nation and was ranked as a Top 30 Power Forward in the nation as well. In addition, Hodges was listed as a Top 5 recruit in the state of Illinois and was listed as the #2 Power Forward in the state of Illinois. Chris Hodges has signed with Wisconsin.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

I was inspired by Durant and his work ethic which got him to the top of the game.

What high school was your biggest rival?

Fremd was our biggest rival with us facing off for the western conference finals two years straight.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Really any Lil Baby song I like listening to before the game off the my turn deluxe album.

What is your offseason training like?

Trying to become stronger so I hit the weights and try to bulk up by eating as much as I can.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

My favorite memory of my high school career is winning a Regional with my brother and teammates sophomore year. We were the underdogs it was 2 vs 7 seed. There’s just something about being counted out and then silencing the crowd by dominating somebody that people thought would beat you.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?

Chet Holmgren, we played with and against each other in a couple camps.

What is your favorite food?

Chicken Alfredo

When did you realize you were talented at basketball?

About 5th grade I realized I had a chance to make it to the next level. So continued to work hard everyday and received offers from around the country.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

Conor McGregor or Israel Adesanya,the way they both carry themselves is so inspirational. They have a tremendous amount of confidence and success.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

When Kevin Durant won MVP, he’s one of my favorite players and I looked up to him growing up as a kid. On top of that his speech was one of the best of all time.
