Bastian Swinney is a 4 Star recruit who plays Offensive Guard at Edina High School. Swinney is ranked as a Top 600 recruit in the nation and is ranked as a Top 20 Offensive Guard in the nation as well. In addition, Swinney is listed as a Top 10 recruit in the state of Minnesota and is listed as the #1 Offensive Guard in the state of Minnesota. Bastian Swinney is committed to play at Cal next fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

 I had a lot of NFL guys inspire me, Taylor Lewan, Trent Williams, David Bhaktiari, and another guy is Brian Dawkins.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Our biggest rival is Eden Prairie

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

Run through the jungle by CCR

What is your offseason training like?

Offseason training consists of powerlifting along with speed/agility training.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Beating Eden Prairie at home last year

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

My tenacity and motor as a player

Their education, staff, location, and scheme

What do you want to accomplish on and off the field during your time at Cal?

On the field, I want us to win games and grow as a family, off the field I would love to help better the community around the Bay Area.

Brian Dawkins

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

Watching Cal win during the big game as the Stanford band ran onto the field.
