In addition, Holmes is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as the #3 Power Forward in the state of Florida. DaRon Holmes is committed to play at Dayton next fall. Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

Yes, growing up I was inspired by some of the NBA stars like Kevin Durant and Lebron James. Nowadays I am inspired by some of the guys that are in the NBA today like Mikal Bridges who plays for the Suns and Matisse Thybulle who plays for the 76ers. My favorite player to watch is also Pascal Siakam and Jeremy Grant who plays for the Nuggets.

What high school is your biggest rival?

Ironwood High School from Arizona is my biggest rival. I now live in Florida so I cannot really say that I have a rival except for IMG Academy.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

I listen to a lot of songs that get me hype and emotionally ready for the game, like Meek Mill or DevTake Flight.

What is your offseason training like?

My offseason training is` just making sure I stay in shape. Offseason training also consists of a lot of things I need to work on for my all around game.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?

Favorite memory of my high school career is being with my team and just having a great time on the team trips. My real favorite memory is the adversity a face because I make sure I remember that that was making it better.

What parts of your high school game do you hope to transition to the college level?

All around I want my all around game to translate to the college level. I still have things I need to work on but I feel like at the end of the day in the long run I will be perfectly fine.

What did you look for when choosing a college?

I chose Dayton, but what I was looking for was just a great connection with the coaches in a great atmosphere and playing with a great program where I can get better.

When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?

9th grade summer is when colleges started looking at me.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

If I could meet a sports hero it would be Muhammad Ali.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite sports moment as a fan was definitely watching a KC Royals game.
