Who are some role models in your life?
My parents are definitely my biggest role models because they’ve always pushed me to work hard and stay grounded. My coaches have also had a huge impact on me, especially those who taught me discipline and accountability. Most importantly, I look to Jesus as my greatest role model because I try to live with faith and purpose every day.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get you hyped up?
I usually listen to artists like Brandon Lake, Sam Barber, and sometimes Christian rap. It just depends on the vibe, but I like music that gets my mind in the right place while helping me lock in at the same time.
What are the strengths of your game?
I’d say my biggest strengths are staying calm under pressure, having a strong leg, and being consistent. As a kicker, confidence and mental toughness are just as important as physical ability, and I take pride in being dependable.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memories are making big kicks in important games and seeing all the hard work pay off. Every time I hit a clutch field goal or help my team win, it’s a reminder of why I love the game.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Outwork everyone. Talent will only take you so far. Stay consistent, trust God, don’t get discouraged when things don’t go your way, and focus on getting 1% better every day.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to go to Hawaii. The scenery and beaches look incredible, and it would be an amazing place to explore.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was around middle school when I really started falling in love with football. That’s when I realized kicking was something I wanted to take seriously.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d want to meet Pat McAfee. He’s one of the greatest punters ever, and I’d love to hear how he prepares mentally and physically.
What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
Watching big college football rivalry games and the College Football Playoff National Championship is always something I look forward to. The atmosphere and intensity are unmatched.
