Max Bates is a 3 Star recruit who plays Linebacker at Palos Verdes High School. Bates is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked among one of the top Linebackers in the nation as well. In addition, Bates is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of California and is listed as a top 20 Linebacker in the state of California. He is committed to play at UNLV.

My dad, Dwane Davis.

My ability to read plays.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
Winning CIF.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I played with is Dabe Nwude. He helped me so much, would take on double teams like no other, and let me play freely.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep your head down and keep grinding.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Arizona. I love the desert.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 8 years old.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Fred Warner.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Watching the Los Angeles Rams win the Super Bowl.
