Braylon Otis is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Liverpool High School. Otis is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 90 Defensive End in the nation as well. In addition, Otis is listed as a top 10 recruit in the state of New York and is listed as the #1 Defensive End in the state of New York. He is committed to play at Syracuse.
Who are some role models in your life?
I would have to say my dad. He teaches me the right way to go about things.
What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I listen to Lucki, YoungBoy, Deftones, and SlimeGetem before my games. It makes me lock in without a doubt.
What are the strengths of your game?
I would have to say my strengths are my long arms and my tenacity to never shy away from anyone.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite career memory was my fumble recovery against our rival to seal the game.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I played against in my career had to be ATH Syair Torrence. The best player I played with was my teammate Antonio Rivera; he is one of, if not the best, high school receivers I’ve ever seen.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Some advice I would give to an aspiring D1 athlete is to keep working hard, no matter if eyes are on you or not. You know the work you’re putting in, and that is what’s going to make you stand out and be successful.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I had to choose one place in the world to go, it would be anywhere that I can see the Northern Lights.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was about 4 or 5 when I fell in love with football.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could choose one sports hero, it would have to be Kevin Durant. He’s my favorite basketball player of all time.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan has to be the 2018 Eagles Super Bowl game. I still remember the Philly Special to this day.
