Jaylen Fitzgerald is a 2027 recruit who is an Athlete at Brophy College Prep. Fitzgerald is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Fitzgerald is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Arizona and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of Arizona. He holds offers from schools such as Arizona, Kansas and UNLV.

Who are some role models in your life?
Some of my biggest role models are my dad and my uncle. They both played professionally and taught me the hard work and dedication it takes to reach that level.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
Some artists I listen to pregame to get hyped are Future, Kodak Black, Drake, and Jdot Breezy.

What are the strengths of your game?
I feel like my tall frame and long wingspan allow me to make plays many other players can’t. I also believe my ball-tracking skills are elite, thanks to my baseball background and upbringing.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career would be the first game of my freshman year because it was my first time ever playing football, and I felt nerves like I had never experienced before.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with would be Notre Dame’s Cree Thomas. He’s a great player on the field, but what stood out most was his leadership and confidence every time he stepped on it.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice to an aspiring D1 athlete would be to always stay confident and focus on the little things—like diet, schoolwork, and daily habits. Keep stacking personal wins every day, block out negativity, and stay focused on your path, no matter how long it takes.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
My dream vacation would be to visit Okinawa, Japan; the Maldives; or Santorini, Greece.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game in third grade when I started collecting football cards and watching my uncle play professionally. I wasn’t allowed to play until freshman year, but my passion for the game has always been there.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some of my sports heroes, including Ken Griffey Jr. and Steph Curry. Growing up watching them inspired me to chase greatness, and I’m grateful I had the chance to meet them.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment as a fan would have to be watching my uncle score the game-winning touchdown against the Green Bay Packers in the 2016 playoffs. Experiencing that live was surreal, and the joy I felt watching him deliver on one of the biggest stages was unforgettable.
