Hunter Mallinger is a 3 Star recruit who plays Interior Offensive Line at Hamilton High School. Mallinger is ranked as the 512th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 30 Interior Offensive Lineman in the class as well. In addition, Mallinger is listed as the #5 recruit in the state of Wisconsin and is listed as the #2 Interior Offensive Lineman in the state of Wisconsin. He holds offers from schools such as Iowa State, Wisconsin and Kansas.

Who are some role models in your life?
My mom and uncle are the biggest role models in my life. They’ve always been there for me during hard times, and they always make me better.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I’m actually not a huge music listener. On bus rides, I usually just chill and get locked in with the peace and quiet of the ride. When I do listen to music, it’s mostly country songs.

What are the strengths of your game?
My strengths are my size, speed, and intelligence. I know what everyone on the offensive line should be doing every play.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory of my career was getting my first offer. The reactions from all my friends the next day were priceless.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Freshman year, I played against Isaac Miller, who now has offers all over the country. Obviously, he wasn’t as good as he is now back then, but he was still a dominant player.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
You have to have a drive for physicality and nastiness. The first thing coaches look at is how hard and fast you play. Being physical will give you roster spots and opportunities you never knew.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would probably travel to Italy since it’s beautiful and the food is amazing.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I first fell in love with the game in first grade when I started flag football. I lost my love for the game because of coaching and joined volleyball in 4th grade. I came back to football again as a freshman in high school.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would probably want to meet Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Tom Brady.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite memory as a fan was when the Packers beat the Cowboys in the first round of the playoffs.
