Before games, I actually listen to gospel music by Marvin Sapp. It helps calm my nerves and keep me focused.
What are the strengths of your game?
The strengths of my game are my speed and one-on-one matchups. You can’t teach speed—and if nobody can catch me, you can’t guard me.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory is winning MVP in the state championship game last year.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against is probably Eric Winters—he’s a safety at Auburn.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice to any athlete trying to make it is: outwork everyone around you. Do the extra work. You can’t be like everyone else.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
If I could travel anywhere, it’d probably be the Bahamas.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game in middle school, so I was probably around 13 or 14.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet one sports hero, it would be Amon-Ra St. Brown.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite moment as a fan was when Alabama beat Georgia last year.
