Cherry Creek’s Star Junior: Jackson Roper

Jackson Roper is a 2027 recruit who plays Offensive Tackle at Cherry Creek High School. Roper is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the class as well. In addition, Roper is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Colorado and is listed among one of the top Offensive Tackles in the state of Colorado. He holds offers from schools such as Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

Who are some role models in your life?
I’m lucky to have a really great family. My mother and father constantly provide great examples.

What artists do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?
I have a wide preference in music, but you’ll often find Lil Baby in my pregame playlist.

What are the strengths of your game?
There are three aspects of my game that have allowed me to find success: I’m physical at the point of contact, extremely athletic, and I hate to lose.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory so far doesn’t even involve football. My 14U baseball team won both the USSSA and Triple Crown state titles. The pitcher we beat in the second game has a good chance of being selected in the first round of the MLB Draft next year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
Here in Colorado, we’ve produced some great linemen. I’ve been fortunate to line up with and against guys like Breck Kolojay, Kannon Smith, Hayden Treter, and Reis Russel, to name a few.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Run your own race. Everyone’s journey is different, and you can’t get caught up watching other people’s successes.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
My family and I are planning a trip to Italy and Greece next summer. I can’t wait to experience the history in that part of the world.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 15, walking onto the field as a freshman starting in my first varsity football game. I haven’t looked back since.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
That’s an easy one for me—Josh Allen. I love the way he plays the game. I’ve been watching him since he played just up the road from me at the University of Wyoming in Laramie.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
Both of my brothers compete at a high level in their respective sports. I love watching them do their work!
