Providence’s Star Junior Athlete: Keland Shelton Jr

Keland Shelton Jr is a 2027 recruit who is an Athlete at Providence High School. Shelton Jr is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked among one of the top Athletes in the class as well. In addition, Shelton Jr is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of North Carolina and is listed among one of the top Athletes in the state of North Carolina. He holds offers from schools such as Tennessee, Kentucky and NC State.

Who are some role models in your life?
My mom is a big role model for me. She’s my only mentor, so I obviously look up to her success in life.

What are the strengths of your game?
I’m fast and very intelligent when it comes to the game. I also play with a passion that nobody else has.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
I don’t have just one favorite memory. I’m genuinely grateful for every opportunity I get to step on the field and showcase my talent.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Remain humble and never expect something to come your way. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s—life doesn’t work like that. Go earn it.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would love to travel to Italy.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game at 5 years old—that’s when I first started playing. I haven’t stopped since!

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I would love to meet Tom Brady. He was my favorite NFL quarterback growing up.
