Marquis Evans is a 3 Star recruit who plays Defensive End at Minor High School. Evans is ranked among one of the top recruits in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 50 Defensive End in the class as well. In addition, Evans is listed as a top 15 recruit in the state of Alabama and is listed as the #2 Defensive End in the state of Alabama. I would say my coach and my parents are the biggest role models in my life.

The artists I like to listen to before a game are The Smiths and Nirvana.

What are the strengths of your game?
I’d say my strengths come from my length and athleticism, which help me make plays in multiple situations.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory so far is walking out of the tunnel for my first game ever last year.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your career?
The best player I played with was my linebacker, who was a senior and took me under his wing to show me the ropes.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
My advice would be to trust the process, keep God first, and be grateful every time you get the chance to play the sport.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with the game when I was 15.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
If I could meet any athlete, it would be Nick Bosa because I try to model my game after him.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment is when the Warriors won the 2022 NBA Finals.
