Wesley Ace is a 3 Star recruit who plays Cornerback at Junipero Serra High School. Ace is ranked as the 526th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 60 Cornerback in the class as well. In addition, Ace is listed as a top 70 recruit in the state of California and is listed as a top 15 Cornerback in the state of California. Who are some role models in your life?
Some of my biggest role models are my parents. They’ve always supported me, guided me through life, and pushed me to become the best version of myself.
What are the strengths of your game?
My speed and coverage ability are key strengths. I also pride myself on being able to read and adjust to what the offense is doing in real time.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory was playing in the game against Sierra Canyon. We didn’t get the result we wanted, but the energy was electric—and I felt like I truly showed up that night.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve played with is Zach Williams. He’s at USC now, and his work ethic and talent always stood out to me.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Don’t believe everything you see or hear on social media. Focus on staying consistent—especially when no one’s watching. That’s when real growth happens.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d go to Spain. I speak fluent Spanish, so I’d love to explore the culture and put my language skills to use.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at 14. I was all-in on baseball growing up, but once I stepped on the football field, I knew it was the sport for me.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Tyrann Mathieu. He proved that smaller DBs can be just as dominant as anyone else. His mindset and grit are a big inspiration.
What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
My favorite sports moment is watching the Michigan vs. Ohio State rivalry.
