Trace Rudd is a 2026 recruit who plays Kicker at Blue Valley Northwest High School. Rudd is ranked among one of the top recruits in the nation and is ranked as a top 30 Kicker in the nation as well. In addition, Rudd is listed among one of the top recruits in the state of Kansas and is listed as the #1 Kicker in the state of Kansas. He is committed to play at Oklahoma.

C.J. Stroud and Patrick Mahomes.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
Gunna, Drake, and Kodak Black.
What are the strengths of your game?
My leg speed and power with the ball. I’ve worked hard to turn my kicking into a real weapon for my team.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Kicking the game-winner against Saint James from 29 yards out.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
I’ve played with Andrew Babalola, who’s now at Michigan, and I’ve gone up against guys like Dawson Merritt and Williams Nwaneri—both of them blocked one of my kicks.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Keep working, because it’s going to pay off. Live in the gym and don’t forget to stretch—longevity matters.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Dubai. The scenery, the cars, the buildings—it just looks unreal.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 14 when I fell in love with kicking footballs. Since then, it’s been something I’m passionate about perfecting.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Patrick Mahomes. I’m from Kansas City, so getting to meet him would be special.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-handed catch.
