My mom is definitely one of my biggest role models. She’s always there for me and gives nothing but good advice.
What artists do you listen to pregame to get hyped up?
It depends—if it’s a bus ride to an away game, I’ll throw on Lauryn Hill to stay calm. But once I’m on the field, it’s Ken Carson’s Live Leak that gets me locked in and hyped up.
What are the strengths of your game?
My biggest strength is creating turnovers. I take pride in tracking the ball, making interceptions, and giving my offense new chances to score.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
Catching two interceptions in a playoff game—that moment gave my team a real shot to win, and I’ll never forget it.
Who is the best player you’ve ever played with or against?
The toughest I’ve faced was Terrell Mitchell, a running back from Somerville. He was a real challenge.
What advice would you give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Stay dedicated. All the hard work truly pays off in ways you might not see right away.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d go to Europe—I want to see what life is like on the other side of the world.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football at 7, playing Pop Warner. I’ve been hooked ever since.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Kobe Bryant. His mentality and humbleness always inspired me.
What’s your favorite sports moment as a fan?
The 2016 NBA Finals.
