The strengths of my game are my versatility and my ability to use both speed rush and power rush moves effectively.
What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite career memory is getting my first offer from Illinois right before a home basketball game.
Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against—and now play with—is quarterback Jonas Williams. He’s an incredible scrambler.
What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Focus on how hard you work, and everything else will fall into place.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to take a trip to Dubai someday.
How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I was 16 years old when I fell in love with football, since I didn’t really start playing until my freshman year.
If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
I’d want to meet Shaq—not just for what he did on the court, but also for everything he’s accomplished in the business world.
What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?
My favorite sports moment was probably watching the 2016 Golden State Warriors.
