Tyler Reid is a 3 Star recruit who plays Running Back at Miramar High School. Reid is ranked as the 356th best recruit in the class of 2027 and is ranked as a top 30 Running Back in the class as well. In addition, Reid is listed as a top 50 recruit in the state of Florida and is listed as the #3 Running Back in the state of Florida. He is committed to play at Pitt.

Who are some role models in your life?
My role model is my older brother because he inspires me to work hard and pushes me to become a better version of myself. Another big role model for me is my mom, who has always been there for me.

What artists do you listen to pregame to get you hyped up?
To get hyped up pregame, I listen to Nocap and NBA YoungBoy.

What are the strengths of your game?
I can catch passes out of the backfield, make defenders miss, and I have good route running. Those are key parts of what make me a dynamic threat on offense.

What is your favorite memory of your career?
My favorite memory would be from my freshman year on JV. We ran an HB stretch play, and I scored, but it got called back for holding. The coach called the same play again—and I scored again. That helped us win the game, and it felt amazing.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or against in your career?
The best player I’ve played against was a receiver from Atlantic High School. I don’t know his name, but he wore number 2 and absolutely tore up our defense.

What is some advice you would give to an aspiring D1 athlete?
Don’t give up. Keep working hard and striving for greatness, because at the end of the day, hard work beats talent.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’d love to travel to Jamaica because my dad is from there, and I’d like to experience it firsthand.

How old were you when you fell in love with the game?
I fell in love with football when I was about 4 or 5 years old. I used to watch my brothers play, and that’s what sparked my passion.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?
Saquon Barkley. He’s such an amazing player, and I admire his work ethic and skill set.

What is your favorite sports moment as a fan?
My favorite moment as a fan was at a Pitt game against WVU. In the 4th quarter, with just a few seconds left, Pitt intercepted a pass to win the game.
