Rocco Becht is a 3 Star recruit who plays Quarterback at Wiregrass Ranch High School. Becht is ranked as a Top 40 Pro Style Quarterback in the class of 2022 and is a Top 80 recruit in the state of Florida. In addition, Becht is listed as a Top 5 Pro Style Quarterback in the state of Florida. His top offers are, Iowa State, Wake Forest, and Southern Miss.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NFL Players?

Growing up with a father who played in the NFL, (Anthony Becht) of course your going to have players you looked up to. For me it was my dad because no other player was always there for me, always coaching me to be the best I can be, I can’t say that about any other player.

What high school is your biggest rival?

 Our biggest high school rival is Wesley chapel high school. Everyone from Chapel wants to see this game because it just has a different type of feeling to it and I guess that’s what you get from a rivalry game.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

 I have a lot of songs I listen but before games I mostly listen J. Cole, Rod Wave and Drake. They just get me in the mood to go out there and ball out.

What is your offseason training like?

Before we had to quarantine my offseason would have been a lot different but because we had all that time off to be at home, I took advantage it. Every week for four days I would be either outside running or me and my dad workout in the garage and plus every sat and sun I would be at QB training so it was a lot but it was worth it.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career, so far?

To be honest I haven’t had a really good memory yet but if I had to pick it would have to be week 2 of my freshman year, we were playing our rival Wesley Chapel at there place under the lights. They went up 20 on us and we rallied back to win the game by 20. There was just so much excitement going on that I will always remember that.

Who is the best player you have ever played with or played against in your high school career?

The best player I have ever played with would have to be Keith Walker. Now I only had him for one year but damn he’s a good ball player. Every time I would throw him the ball I knew that he was gonna make a play.

What do you look for in choosing a college?

In choosing a college I look for if the coaches there are actually interested in me and how much they communicate with me. Also if a team has four quarterbacks there, there isn’t a reason for me to commit there. I wanna be able to have a chance to start two years or even three or four.

When did you start looking at colleges, and when did colleges start looking at you?

 I wasn’t really thinking about colleges until I got my first offer by southern Mississippi because I thought that no interest would come my way till my Junior year.

If you could meet one sports hero, who would it be?

For me it would probably be Tom Brady. I mean if your a quarterback who wouldn’t want to meet Tom Brady, he’s the best to ever do it.

What is your favorite sports moment, as a fan?

My favorite team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so favorite moment would be when Fitz magic started the bucks off with a 3-0 record, even tho it’s not a lot of games won it was just fun to watch.
