Emory Lanier played Point Guard at Woodward Academy. Lanier is ranked as a Top 30 recruit in the state of Georgia and is listed as a Top 10 Point Guard in the state as well. Emory Lanier is committed to play at Davidson this fall.

Growing up, were you inspired by any NBA Players?

I would say Dwyane Wade, he was my favorite player growing up and I wanted to play like him growing up.

What high school is your biggest rival?

When I lived in TN and went to Webb our rival was Grace, when I went to Woodward in ATL I would say either McDonough or Pace Academy.

What songs do you listen to pregame, to get you hyped up?

My go to warmup song is Magnolia by Playboi Carti.

What is your offseason training like?

Workout out two-three times a day during the week once on Saturday and Sunday off.

What is your favorite memory of your high school career?

Winning a state championship in 2 different states for sure

What parts of your high school game, do you hope to transition to the college level?

My ability to play/create well for others and my shooting

What made Davidson stand out from other schools?

It felt like home. It just felt like the best fit for me academically and athletically

What do you want to accomplish on and off the court during your time at Davidson?

I want to get my degree and be a leader off the court/ on court- won the A10 championship and make it to the NCAA Tourney.
